That was the start of the first day of my new life in another country. Since that day many things have happened: I started working here, got used to the way of living, received visits from friends from all over Europe, we moved into our own little house, I got to know the nice ---and not so nice--- parts of Lleida, we brought some visits to Harmelen, ...
In those two years I got settled here, and I am really happy with my life here. Of course I look back to my time in Harmelen once in a while and certainly miss my family and friends, but I have not regretted my decision to move to Lleida for a single second.

Mooi stukje! Doe dit toch effe in het Neerlans, makkelijker qua overbrengen! Vond vooral de eerste paragraaf errug mooi!
Woon nu al inmiddels 3½ jaar in NL en het is een beetje op dezelfde manier gegaan. Lieve vrouw ontmoet via Fimcap, een paar jaartjes heen en weer, biezen bij elkaar pakken en moven. Dan wakker worden en denken: "This is the beginning of the rest of my life". Dan aanpassen aan het nieuwe leven ter plekke, andere tradities, andere cultuur. En toch weer soms errug naar het thuisland verlangen. Frequent ernaartoe op vakantie (nou ja, frequent...), maar toch het meste en het beste er van maken in het land waar je woont en werkt; een nieuw thuis opbouwen!
Helemaal mee eens: de keuze was de beste die iki kon maken - toen en nu!
